Diwali is festival of joy, mirth, lighting, and zeal. On this auspicious day, Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after an exile of 14 years. Celebrated as a victory of good over evil, people on diwali worship Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi to bless them and their family with wealth and fame. They illuminate their houses with candles, diyas, and electric bulb light. They burn firecrackers. People express their love and affection to their near and dear ones by presenting gifts to them. It is a time to let your taste buds have this great feast.

Diwali candles and diyas are shared as gift, either you can buy them from the market or can show your creativity by beautifully making them at home with great ease. You just have to buy the raw material from the market and put your hands on it. People decorate earthen lamps artistically in a unique and ethnic way.

The other kinds of gifts are diwali decorative. These includes jharokha, in it the people place there god’s idol. Vase, wall and door Hangings, hanging bells and torahs. Torahs are the hangings embellish with traditional design. Ornament box for keeping ornaments. There are Diwali Paintings of Ganesha ji and Lakshmi ji, people can gift it to their near and dear ones.

In addition, one can think of giving silver gifts, which has silver coins, silver idols of god and goddess, silver Puja Thali and a silver jewelry. There is a trend of giving apparels and jewelry. The apparels can be saree, salwar kameez, handbags, stoles, etc. The basic theme is to go with the traditional outfit. Jewelry can be some kind of stone studded, or silver, gold, diamond studded, that can be ring, earrings, necklace, etc.
